Simple and Safe Remedy for Lowering Uric Acid

Lowering uric acid is achievable by taking some medicines recommended by the doctor. In my case, the doctor recommended me Allopurinol. However, just like any other medicines, this one have some side effects. So, I decided investigating reasonable remedies in lowering uric acid.

But before diving in, let’s also talk something about arthritis because having high uric acid can also cause arthritis. When you start aging, Arthritis also starts to become a part of that age. However, what’s bothering is that, younger generations now are having Arthritis as well. This is because of unhealthy lifestyle, lack of exercise and very poor diet.

When you are diabetic, the more prone you become to fall victim of Arthritis. Just a couple of weeks ago, I myself was lame for a day because of a very painful knee. I cannot make my leg straight, nor bend it that much. It’s just so painful that made me sit for the entire day.

Causes of Arthritis

There are several causes of Arthritis. One cause is due to wear and tear of our joints. This is often called osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis on the other hand happens when the lubricant fluid in your joints called synovium drops due to immune system problems. The third cause of arthritis is due to accumulation of uric acid that becomes “gout”.

We humans have uric acid. It is a product of metabolic breakdown of purine nucleotides (Wikipedia). However, having too much of it can also cause some serious complications. It can affect your kidneys and some other organs of your body just like that of high sugar level. This is why it is important to control your uric acid level.

Simple Remedy

There is an effective simple remedy that you can use in lowering uric acid. This remedy is dead simple and is very effective. In my experience, drinking this allowed me to recover from a very painful experience that crippled me for a day, in under 24 hours


2 Lemon
1 Cucumber


  1. Wash all the 3 ingredients.
  2. Peel ginger and slice it in small bits.
  3. Just slice the Cucumber and Lemon.
  4. Put all ingredients in one pitcher of drinkable water and leave it for 1 hour.

After an hour, it is now ready for drinking. Fill the pitcher again with water so that you can leave it for an overnight and the following day, you still have a delicious healthy juice to drink.
